Frank Vigeneron

Artist

Member of the Steering Committee of the Hong Kong Academy of Arts and Hong Kong Branch of the International Art Critics Association.  

Professor, Dean, Department of Art, Chinese University of Hong Kong.  

Doctor of Philosophy, majoring in Chinese Art History, university of Paris VII.  

Doctor of Philosophy, majoring in comparative philosophy, VI Sorbonne, Paris.  

Doctor of Arts from The Royal University of Technology, Melbourne, Australia.  

Since 2004, he has been teaching in the Department of Art of the Chinese University of Hong Kong.  His research focuses on the history of Chinese painting since the 18th century and contemporary Chinese art in the global context, and he is the program director for the MASTER of Arts.  

He has been chairman of the Academic Committee of the Hong Kong Art School since 2010.  

Professor Wai is also an artist. He has held a solo exhibition in Hong Kong and participated in both local and international exhibitions.  

Siu Kee Ho

Professor Ho graduated from the Department of Art of the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1989.  In 1995, he received a MASTER of Arts degree in sculpture from Crane Creek College of Art in the United States.  In 2003, he received his doctor of Arts degree from RMIT University.  He has represented Hong Kong in the 23rd Sao Paulo International Biennale (1996) and the 49th Venice Biennale (2001).  

Ho's work and research focus on the experience of body perception as an artistic medium and aesthetic representation, covering contemporary sculpture and the practice of traditional crafts, as well as the exploration of Haitian art,and the carding of Heriot Ponti and other phenomenological philosophy of art.

In addition to creative work and research, Professor Ho has extensive experience in teaching and academic administration. Prior to joining the Faculty of Arts, he served as Associate Professor and Master's Programme Director of the School of Visual Arts, Hong Kong Baptist University (2009-2016) and Academic Director of the Hong Kong Academy of Arts (2000-2009).
