Dragon Piece,Cui Yi

A ‘qiu’ 虬is an ancient dragon with horns, and it also means ‘coiled up’. The branches spiraling upward in the sky, without dancing posture but sure of touch are lofty, just as they say, ‘ascending dragon, swooping dragon’, as with the water dragon, demonstrating the natural force of nature. I use recycled steel rebar and angle iron as material for my artwork, coarse materials having both steady and calm geometry and strength. From outside in, I use recycled industrial materials such as deformed
