Born in Shanghai in 1964.
He graduated from the History Department of Shanghai Fudan University in 1987.
2003-2006, Chief curator and deputy curator of the Shanghai Duolun Museum of Modern Art.
2004, Artistic director of the China Contemporary Art Award (CCAA)
2005, Visiting assistant professor in the Department of Fine Arts, Tunghai University, Taiwan.
2006-2007, Executive curator of Shanghai Zhu Qizhan Art Museum.
2007-2008, concurrently served as the editor-in-chief of "Visual Production" magazine
2008, appointed as the judge of the 5th Taiwan New Art Awards, and visiting professor of Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts.
2009-2011, the artistic director of Beijing White Box Art Museum.
2009-2016, the artistic director of Beijing Li Space.
2014-2016, the academic curator of the Xi'an Jia Pingwa Culture and Art Museum.
Since 2017, the academic curator of Xiamen MORE ART Museum.
Since September 2018, Visiting associate professor in the Department of Sculpture at Taiwan University of the Arts.
Currently works as an independent curator and lives in Beijing, China.
