OCT Boxes Art Museum not only focus on Chinese contemporary art, contemporary art genre and their key figures, but also pays attention to the cultivation of young artists and the locality and nativity connection between the art museum and Shunde, Foshan.The artists of the artist resident project are mainly recommended by artists, curators and scholars, invited by the academic committee of OCT Boxes art museum and applied by artists themselves.
Since its opening in 2017, OCT Boxes Art Museum has successfully held 30 resident workshop projects, inviting artists from China, France, Mongolia, Ireland, the United States, Japan and other countries to create in the resident.The Boxes encourages independent idea and art research accomplishment of an individual or a group into the community and city to participate in the project, through the base to the ground during the creation, communication and display, further promote cultural interaction and academic exchanges between themselves and their regions, and promote the positive interaction between artists, art institutions and art activities at home and abroad.
OCT Boxes Art Museum plans to hold 5 - 6 resident workshops every year.During the residency, resident artists at home and abroad will create art through urban visits, local research and academic exchanges, and finally the exhibition will be presented in the resident exhibition hall of the art museum.

3. Resident period: The resident time is 15 - 60 days, which is determined flexibly according to each project. Please confirm a single project separately for details.
4. Resident number: The specific number is determined according to the annual plan.
5. Application qualification
Artists, curators, designers and interdisciplinary scholars at home and abroad(including but not limited to anthropology, sociology, architecture, botany, philosophy, music, dance...), unlimited nationality.
The artist resident project of OCT Boxes Art Museum mainly provides application opportunities for groups at home and abroad with more than 3 years of artistic creation or curatorial experience and rich in independent artistic thinking and breakthrough practice.The applicant is mainly in the field of contemporary art creation, and the creative media are not limited.
6. Application method: Fill in the resident application form and send the personal information package to the mailbox of the museum.
7. Review mechanism: Review and selection by OCT Boxes Academic Committee.
8. Delivery date: Open for recruitment throughout the year.
9. Funding costs: Determined flexibly according to each project.

10. Work content and presentation
During the resident period, the artist must regularly provide the art museum with corresponding text and picture materials for the publicity and document filing of the resident project; the artist will hold regular working meetings with the staff of the art museum to discuss the progress and implementation of the project; Participants have the opportunity to participate in studio open exhibitions, academic discussions, salon lectures or related educational exchange activities, as well as the final exhibition during their residency.
11. Relevant rights and obligations
(1)With the consent of the artist, one of the works created during the residence will be kept in the collection of OCT Boxes Art Museum.
(2)Participants are required to participate in studio open exhibition, academic discussion, salon lectures or related educational exchange activities, and have the opportunity to participate in resident annual exhibition.
12. Application process
Artists who intend to apply for resident projects should submit their latest Chinese and English resumes, personal Chinese and English works collection, project plan during residence and application form for resident projects of international artists ect. to OCT Boxes Art Museum.
(1)Personal latest resume in Chinese and English.
(2)Personal photos.
(3)The personal collection of Chinese and English works (PDF/PPT) is mainly representative works that are rich in the artist's artistic characteristcs and fully reflect the artistic appearance in the process of creation.The picture materials provided by artists in the field of easel painting should be of standard format (author-name-category/material-size-year); Artist is music and related fields need to provide MP3 files or online links; Performance and installation artists can provide the relevant pictures materials and text content, the picture quality and format please refer to above; Other types of artists and curators,ect. can provide certification material in corresponding fields. The information should be in Chinese and English.
(4)The project plan during the residence period mainly refers to the artistic creation scheme preliminarily drafted by the artist, which can include the overall plan and the materials, space, personnel cooperation needs,ect. that may be involved in the implementation process. The applicant can formulate a creative scheme according to the specific project requirements. The information should be in Chinese and Engilsh.
(5)The resident application form is the main application form of this resident plan. Please download and fill in the relevant documents.The filling contents must be in Chinese and English.

13. Relevant notes
(1)Please do not send the original works or various precious documents,the relevant sent copies or backup documents will not returned without special requirement.If special requirements,please pay the postage.
(2)The correctness and authenticity of the information and materials provided by the artist should be guaranteed.Artist should be responsible for any legal issues arising from the information provided by the artist.
At the same time, the applicant should provide corresponding Chinese and English materials as required, otherwise it will not be recommended by the international part.
