He An

Artist

He An was born in 1971,he is one of the most representative artists of China's post-1970s. His works extensively use metal advertising boards, concrete, neon lights and other industrial materials, which to a large extent reflect the physical and psychological impact of China's rapid urbanization, industrialization and globalization.Behind the cold materials without emotion and consciousness, He An tries to explore the truth of urban emotion, or violence or exquisite, or cold or romantic.

He has held solo exhibitions around the world, including the Contemporary Art Centre in Australia (2017), the Daniel Templon Gallery in Belgium (2014);He has also participated in many important international group exhibitions, such as Pop Art, Yuz Museum, Shanghai, China, 2016;Post-pop: East Meets West, Saatchi Gallery, London, 2014;Carnegie International Art Exhibition, Carnegie Museum of Art, Pittsburgh, 2013;Date 2008, Art Museum of Contemporary Lyon, Lyon, France, 2008, etc.
